ABOUT
I know what it’s like to feel burned out, exhausted, and disconnected from the career you once loved. As a Physician Associate, Certified Coach, and Burnout Recovery Specialist, I’ve lived through burnout firsthand—not just once, but twice. I understand the unique challenges of healthcare, where long hours, emotional exhaustion, and relentless expectations can leave you questioning whether you can keep going.
That’s why I created Healing the Healer—to help healthcare professionals like you break free from burnout, regain control, and build a sustainable career and life that truly aligns with who you are.

Burnout Isn’t a Personal Failure
Burnout isn’t about weakness—it’s a signal that something is out of alignment. Recovery isn’t about pushing through; it’s about recalibrating your work, values, and energy.
Recovery Requires More Than Just Rest
True healing doesn’t come from time off alone. It comes from understanding the root causes of burnout, creating boundaries, and developing sustainable strategies that prevent it from returning.
You Don’t Have to Choose Between Healthcare & Happiness
Burnout can make you feel like the only solution is to leave your career behind, but there’s another way. With the right tools, strategy, and support, you can build a career that aligns with your purpose—without sacrificing yourself in the process.

My Burnout Story
Burnout doesn’t happen overnight—it creeps in slowly. I didn’t recognize it at first, but looking back, the signs were there all along. I was unhappy, out of shape, and hiding my disappointment behind fake smiles. The stress, frustration, and exhaustion showed in ways I didn’t fully acknowledge at the time—but now, when I look at old photos, I can see the weight I was carrying, both physically and emotionally.
At one point, I found myself sitting in my car before work, dreading the day ahead. The weight of exhaustion, frustration, and feeling like I was just going through the motions was unbearable. I wasn’t just tired—I felt disconnected from my work, my purpose, and even myself.
Sundays were the worst. I couldn’t enjoy my weekends because I was either recovering from the stress of the previous week or dreading the week ahead. Even on vacation, my mind wasn’t free—at the start, I was decompressing from burnout, and by the end, I was already feeling anxiety about returning. It felt like a cycle I couldn’t escape.
I experienced burnout twice, in two completely different environments.
The first time, I was completely overworked—taking on more than I should, pushing through exhaustion, and believing that if I just held on a little longer, things would improve. I was promised changes that never came and kept convincing myself that burnout was just part of the job. Eventually, I hit a breaking point and left that role.
I thought leaving that job would fix everything, but I was wrong.
The second time, burnout came from a different source—instability, sudden compensation changes, and a work environment that no longer aligned with the way I wanted to practice medicine. I felt trapped between my passion for helping patients and the frustration of a system that constantly pulled me in the wrong direction.
At that point, I had a choice: walk away from medicine or find a way to realign my work with what actually fulfilled me.
That’s when I realized that the most meaningful moments in my career weren’t just about diagnosing and treating patients—they were the deep, powerful conversations I had with colleagues and, occasionally, with patients. Those were the encounters that left both of us inspired, the ones where I could see the shift happening in real-time.
I realized that what truly energized me was helping people gain clarity, shift their perspectives, and move toward something that actually made them feel fulfilled. That realization is what led me to pursue coaching— as a way to align my career with the work that felt the most impactful.
Becoming a certified professional coach completely shifted how I saw my career, my future, and my ability to create change. It also drew me toward entrepreneurship, giving me the flexibility, control, and earning potential that traditional roles couldn’t offer.
That’s why I built Healing the Healer. I combined the science of burnout, the problem-solving approach of medicine, and the deep personal transformation of coaching to create a structured, results-driven method for true recovery.
I know what it’s like to feel stuck. I know what it’s like to think the only way out is to leave the profession entirely. But I also know that you don’t have to abandon your career to reclaim your fulfillment.
I wish I had a program like Healing the Healer when I was struggling. Now, I share these tools with others, helping them find clarity, take action, and build a life that feels aligned, sustainable, and fulfilling.
WHY I'M DIFFERENT
I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and transformational coaching—a combination that allows me to approach burnout recovery with depth, strategy, and real-world insight.
With over 17 years of experience as a practicing Physician Associate, I’ve worked in multiple specialties, including internal medicine and neurology. My clinical background gives me a systematic, problem-solving approach, considering the biological, organic, and psychological influences that shape burnout.
But burnout recovery isn’t just about science—it’s about transformation. That’s where my coaching expertise comes in. I don’t approach burnout from a strictly academic or clinical perspective. As a certified coach, I go beyond surface-level symptoms to help you uncover the deep-seated beliefs, fears, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
I understand the frustration of navigating complex EMRs, overwhelming administrative demands, and the growing tension between efficiency and patient-centered care. Healthcare professionals are being asked to do more with less, often in ways that don’t align with the way they want to practice. The result? Exhaustion, frustration, and questioning whether this career is still sustainable.
I’ve helped healthcare professionals:
- Overcome limiting beliefs that kept them feeling trapped.
- Rebuild confidence and reclaim control over their careers and personal lives.
- Take actionable steps toward fulfillment, balance, and long-term career satisfaction.
Burnout doesn’t have to define you. With the right approach, you can take back your energy, your career, and your sense of purpose.
